During my week in Spain, Barcelona was definitely the highlight. The city offered a perfect blend of art, history, and local culture. Our days were filled with visits to museums, meals at local restaurants, and a historical walking tour that gave us a deeper appreciation for the city’s rich heritage. I loved how walkable it was—much like New York, but with a more relaxed pace. The streets were beautiful, and the atmosphere was peaceful yet lively, making it easy to explore at my own rhythm. Barcelona has a unique energy, seamlessly blending old-world charm with modern vibrancy.
One thing I couldn’t help but notice in Spain was how fresh and high-quality the food was. Despite indulging in pasta and gelato almost every day, I felt healthier than I ever do at home! Back in the U.S., I have to avoid gluten and bread, but in Spain, I didn’t have that issue. The bread and pastries there were so light and easy on my stomach, which made me realize how different the food culture is. It’s amazing how much fresher everything tastes when it’s sourced locally. Honestly, I might need to start having my groceries shipped from Spain!
